Private behaviour consultationsCamp Doggone Pawsitive’s head trainer Shelley Hunter is highly recommended by area veterinarians for her work with dogs in private and group training. Private behaviour consultations are a good fit for those owners who have the time and the interest to be involved in training their dogs. We will meet you and your family for private one-on-one sessions to deal with any challenges you may be having. We can help with everything from puppy issues such as nipping, chewing & housetraining to leash pulling, jumping, running away. barking, guarding food or objects, aggression toward people or other dogs, fearful or anxious behaviour, noise phobias, separation anxiety and more. Our practical support and coaching can help you get your dog on the right track - right away. Sessions are one hour each and generally take place in your family's home or the location where the dog needs to practice ie. the park for dogs who are distracted by people or dogs. We start by assessing the dog's behaviour. Then each session we demonstrate exercises that will help solve the problems and then we get the family involved in practicing the exercises. As part of our professional service - we provide you with homework plans and support material so you know what to practice in between lessons.
